




1) Who are you? What’s your background?
I’m Muhammad Miqdam. Call me Mika. Born in 1993. I was study Mushaf Art Diploma in Malaysia and Fine Art Degree in Moscow, Russia. Currently I’m working as a manager at Peliunan Park, Temburong.
2) What does your work aim to say?
I still seem to struggle to find out the answer for myself which I have a lot of personality in each of my works. I will make any kind of art as long as it is art. Whether big or small scale , I can still learn to create it. For me, my works tells that I will always capable to challenge myself and make changes to the best.
3) Who are your biggest influences?
Manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto and street artist Banksy. Tatsuki has a direct taste in his manga narration. Indirectly it tells about the state of society in the world today. As for Banksy, he has many elements in his work. He also uses his art as a tool against the negative world crisis.
4) How do you seek out opportunities?
The first step is to make new friends without knowing their background. That's what I always do as a manager at Peliunan Park. Opportunities will always be around us if we keep trying to get them at any cost. In my case, I always start by making new friendships.
5) Which current art world trends are you following?
I would say coffee painting. it is comfortable to do, fragrant and low cost. I often use it to replace watercolor. Just play the tone and give a little technique on it to show the characteristics of the coffee. I've been doing it since 2016 and started making it as a business the next year in a coffee shop called "It's a grind"
6) Where do you see yourself 5 years?
I chose not to tell anyone about my plans. I prefer to surprise anyone with my big moves. So just wait for elements of surprise
