1) Who are you? What’s your background?
Hi there, folks! Name's Roxis, a self-taught artist both and digital but also interested in trying out new mediums! Currently taking a diploma in Digital Media. Been drawing ever since "I know what is a pen and paper" (or so what my parents told me) and it has become my sole companion from there on. Ever since then, I grew fond of art, anime, films and games.
2) What does your work aim to say?
Cool, stylish and never to be afraid of being the odd one out. I always wanted my work to feel kinetic and dynamic, so I hope the feeling's there when folks see my works!
3) Who are your biggest influences?
Hiroyuki Imaishi for his stylistic and dynamic poses, Tetsuya Nomura for his character designs and Bryan Lee O'Malley for his westernized anime artstyle. Safe to say, Studio Trigger has been a huge influence on how I draw and pose my characters.
4) How do you seek out opportunities?
Sometimes, it's either following a trend, challenges/contest or even collabs! Joining communities also branched out my reach, got to meet new people and learnt new knowledge from other artists!
5) Which current art world trends are you following?
At the moment, I've been experimenting with neon colors, street art compositions and trying my hand at surrealism.
6) Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I will still be drawing, honing my skills and improving as I gain more knowledge and inspirations. And, God willing, a career/job focused on film making, game development, animation or anything media-related.
